Norwich Farmers' MarketWhen is the market open? NFM is open year-round, Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where is the market located? Spring/summer/fall in East Park, Norwich, NY; Winter in Howard Johnson’s ballroom just up the street from the park.

Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits? NFM is the only market left in Chenango County which offers the SNAP program, FMNP-WIC, FMNP-SR, WIC V&F, CNY Health Bucks — $2 coupons that can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. For every $5 spent at farmer’s markets using SNAP on an EBT card, shoppers receive $2 in Health Bucks. We also accept Fresh Connect Checks — $2 rebate checks for every $5 in SNAP benefits spent at a participating FreshConnect Farmers’ Market.’

 What do the vendors sell? Local farm products year-round (produce, meat, eggs, fiber products, maple, honey, grains & beans), baked goods, local crafts (jewelry, personal care products, etc.). Meat includes lamb, goat, chicken, goose. You also will find Chenango County honey, NYS grown flours, and more.

What is happening on July 26? The MyPlate Scavenger Hunt III.

What makes the market special? NFM is administered by a nonprofit which encourages military veterans to consider a career in farming; supports young people just starting in farming; offers free guidance for home gardeners; promotes the humane treatment of all animals – pets and livestock; offers training in food safety; donates to food pantries, and encourages the spirit of volunteering.

East Hampton Farmers MarketThis producer-only market features 22 of the nicest and friendliest people selling the most delicious and locally sourced food possible in a very congenial and hospitable marketplace. Our vendors include five local naturally grown farmers, one certified organic grower, a certified organic poultry farmer, a fish vendor, a llama wool producer, a local vineyard, a local dairy farmer, a goat farmer, pasta maker, an organic flower farmer, and a local handmade soap maker.

When do you open?  Our market opened Friday May 12 and runs through Friday Sept. 1. Our hours of operation are Friday’s from 9:00 am — 1:00 pm

Where is it located?  Nick and Toni’s parking lot at 136 North Main Street, East Hampton

Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits?  We have farmers who accept SNAP and FMNP, and Fresh Checks — $2 rebate checks for every $5 in food stamps spent at a participating FreshConnect Farmers’ Market.

What do the vendors sell? In addition to seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, our farmers offer fish, homemade lanolin based skin care products, fresh cow’s milk cheeses, grass fed beef and pastured pork, goat cheese, cow’s milk, butter and eggs; fresh baked bread and pies, healthy baked goods, honey, homemade pickles, artisinal Greek style yogurt, and organic olive oil. There are dog treats made with vegetables and meat, and organic and fresh coffee beans and teas.

New York State Farmers Market Profile: Clinton Farmers Market

The Clinton Farmers Market is one of the largest markets in the Mohawk Valley region. It started twenty years ago with only a few vendors and now has over seventy! The location of the Clinton Farmers Market provides the picturesque farmers market setting for visitors. It’s bustling activity and occasional live music make it a great place to spend the day with family and friends. When is it open?

The market runs on Thursdays from May 23 through October 6 from 10am – 4pm with extended hours on the third Thursday of each month from 10am – 6pm.

Where is it?

The market is located in the historic center of Clinton, NY on the Village Green. It central location is walking distance from many areas in town including the Clinton Central High School. A shuttle is provided by LutheranCare from Clinton Elementary School in July from 11 am-1pm. Hamilton College provides a Jitney Service from campus to the Village Green from 11am-1pm.

Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits?

The Clinton Farmers Market accepts EBT SNAP benefits. Look for the information tent at the market under the “Use Your SNAP Benefits Card to Get Tokens Here” banner. Shoppers can use their EBT SNAP benefits to purchase tokens at the manager’s booth. Tokens can be used farmers’ stands Your tokens can buy fruits, vegetables, plants that produce food, breads, meat, fish, poultry, dairy products, maple and honey products, seeds for plants that produce food, baked goods intended for home consumption, jams, sauces, and soups. 

What is for sale at the market?

The market has over 70 vendors from across the Mohawk Valley. They sell locally grown fruits, vegetables, fresh-cut and dried flowers, jams, jellies, meats and cheeses, maple syrup, honey, baked goods, and much more.  There is also a selection of handmade arts & crafts items including beautiful watercolor paintings, jewelry, clothing, and many other interesting items for sale.

What makes the Clinton Farmers Market so special?

The Clinton Farmers Market is a very community oriented and family friendly market. It welcomes all visitors, locally and those from out-of-town. It’s upbeat atmosphere and live music in the gazebo make it the perfect place to spend an afternoon. Clinton Farmers Market also offers free booth space to non-profit, charitable organizations to support the local Clinton community.
