Our market has been celebrating the food, farms and families of the Alfred area since 2012. We offer cooking and gardening demonstrations, as well as booths from local clubs and organizations that focus on helping people have healthy futures. Come for the fresh food – stay for the fun!
When is the market open? July 9 – October 29, Sundays 11am-3pm.
Where is the market located? Alfred Village Bandstand at the corner of Main Street and Saxon Drive
Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits? We accept FMNP and WIC checks as well as SNAP/EBT.
What do the vendors sell? We tailor our vendors to sell a wide variety of items. These include: fresh vegetables, artisan goods, fresh fruit, pastries, cut flowers, eggs, bread, honey, maple syrup, beef, pork, and poultry.
Do you have special events? July 9th – Opening Day and Market Sprouts, Activities for kids; August 27th – Tomato Festival; September 17th– Harry Potter Day; October 29th – Harvest market, Closing Day of Market.
What makes your market special? Our market is special because it is a grower’s only market, which means that all our vendors have to produce 100% of the product that they sell, and the vendors working at the table must work at the farm/studio/kitchen. We also are ultra-local — all of our farms and producers are limited to a 30 mile radius (as the crow flies) from the farmers market location.
