The Newark Farmers Market is a true community farmers’ market. The market hosts events, community organizations and activities that match the needs and concerns of the community. One popular event is the food truck rodeo that brings everyone together for good food and good times. We like to host children’s events as fun ways to teach youth about food and nutrition— it’s education that kids enjoy and parents appreciate. We invite everyone to visit the Newark Farmers’ Market to see for yourself that this market is a great place for local food, education, events and overall fun.
When is the market open? The Newark Farmers’ Market is open Thursdays from 2:30 pm-6:00 pm from June 1 – October 19.
Where is the market located? 100 Church St. Newark, NY
Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits? The market has a token system for SNAP (food stamps) and credit card transactions. We also participate in FreshConnect incentive coupons. That means when you spend $5 in SNAP benefits at the market, you receive a $2 incentive coupon that gives you the opportunity to buy even more SNAP eligible foods at the farmers’ market. Most produce vendors accept Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), WIC and senior vouchers.
