Uniquely located in a picturesque park straddling the two Hudson River villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, The TaSH market functions as a “village green” as well as a food destination. Weekly live free music, children’s educational activities, an ongoing interactive community art project and food and nutrition information make this market a community hub. The market is run by Rivertowns Village Green, Inc., an all-volunteer, 501c3 organization dedicated to improving access to local, fresh, healthy food; education and support of cultural and community enrichment.
When is the market open? Saturdays/8:30 am-2pm/Memorial Day weekend through the last Saturday before Thanksgiving. Plus a holiday pop up market the first Saturday in December paired with the Tarrytown Village Christmas Tree Lighting.
Where is the market located? Patriots Park, Route 9, Tarrytown
Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits? Yes! All eligible vendors are required to participate in this program as well as accept Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks for both WIC and Seniors. Through our Double Bucks program, $20 in SNAP benefits are worth $40 to spend at the market. Shoppers swipe their cards at the “TaSH Tent”and receive double the value in tokens to spend at the market.
What do your vendors sell? Shoppers come for a diverse array of Hudson Valley produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, spirits and much more!
Do you have special events? Every week features a different activity for children: yoga, nature education, story time and crafts. On Dec. 2, we have the Holiday Popup Market.
What makes the TaSH Farmers’ Market special? We partner with our local food pantry to distribute $10,000 annually in food tokens to be spent at the market. We also participate in a food rescue program in partnership with Eat Local NY in which we collect unsold food from vendors and distribute to food insecure families in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and throughout Westchester.
