What do the vendors sell?  Lockport Community Market boasts twenty weekly vendors brining in a full harvest of seasonal produce, honey, maple syrup, dairy, eggs, meats, breads and baked goods, artisan food items, handmade crafts and artwork.

Today, the Saratoga Farmers’ Market provides year-round access to local farm fresh products. When is the market open? We are a year-round market. From May through October, the outdoor market is open Saturdays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and Wednesdays 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  From November to April, the market is open Saturdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and

Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits?  Our market participates in the FreshConnect Program — for every $5 a customer spends on their EBT card, they receive a $2 FreshConnect Coupon to purchase additional SNAP eligible foods. Many of our vendors also participate in the FMNP Program and accept FMNP WIC and Senior coupons. All questions and assistance can be found at the information table. We are always happy to help navigate our nutrition assistance programs.

What do the vendors sell? Our shoppers choose from dozens of types of vegetables, fresh fruit, honey, baked goods, pasture-raised meat and poultry, cheese, fish and seafood, jams, wine, yogurt and milk, flowers and herbs, complemented by crafters and on-site prepared food. Newer vendors are offering items such as pickles, crackers, and hard cider.

When does the market open? The market opened June 13 and runs through October 10. It is open on Tuesdays, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Where is the market located? Clinton Square in the heart of downtown Syracuse.

Does the market accept EBT SNAP Benefits? Yes! We also offer CNY Health Bucks — for every $5 spent at farmers’ markets using SNAP on an EBT card, shoppers receive $2 in Health CNY Bucks.

Where is the market located? Spring/summer/fall in East Park, Norwich, NY; Winter in Howard Johnson’s ballroom just up the street from the park.

NFM is the only market left in Chenango County which offers the SNAP program, FMNP-WIC, FMNP-SR, WIC V&F, CNY Health Bucks — $2 coupons that can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. Special Events:  We will have our 6th Annual Kid’s Day on Aug. 5 from 10 am — 1:30 pm at the market.  All activities for kids are free including free bike helmets, car seat safety checks, fingerprinting, petting zoo, bounce house, clown, and about 20 organizations that do activities with kids.

Do you have special events scheduled? Yes, a number of them throughout the season! For example, Chef Don Keating appears throughout the summer, creating dishes based on foods he selects from our vendors! On July 13, we will have two chefs competing, and July 20, the kids get a chance to cook with Chef Don!

What makes your market special? We like the fact that our shoppers know the farmer that has produced their food. We also encourage eating local as a way to help the environment and the local economy,  as the dollars you spend on food stay in our local community.

What do the vendors sell? In addition to seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, our farmers offer fish, homemade lanolin based skin care products, fresh cow’s milk cheeses, grass fed beef and pastured pork, goat cheese, cow’s milk, butter and eggs; fresh baked bread and pies, healthy baked goods, honey, homemade pickles, artisinal Greek style yogurt, and organic olive oil.
